X7 TrawsHafren Service Update 17/12/2020

As we reported back in mid-2020, our business was successful in securing a pilot scheme for route X7 between Bristol and Chepstow, which involved using dedicated vehicles, dedicated drivers, a dedicated app and a fresh look at service delivery on this important commuter corridor. A tender process was started a few weeks ago for the long term operation of the X7 and with regret, we announce today that we have not been successful in retaining the route. A cheaper operator has been selected to run the service from January 4 2021 onwards and as such, we will hand over the reigns just after New Year.

 

The feedback about our drivers, the service delivery in general and the increased reliance that people have been able to place on the service during the time that we have operated it has been exemplary and it’s no exaggeration to say that our superb team of drivers have absolutely made this route the success that it has been since June.

 

At the time of writing this statement, we have not yet been advised who the new operator is but we will post a link to the new operators website as soon as we are notified. We wish to pass on our thanks to the many passengers who have travelled with us over the last six months and for the feedback, suggestions and general thoughts.
